BY Bruce Young | Nationwide Tour | 2009 Knoxville Open | Round Two | 13 Jun 2009

The Nationwide Tour’s Knoxville Open in Tennessee has reached its halfway stage and Australian David McKenzie will take a one shot lead into the weekend.

McKenzie, who has only US$16,000 to his name in Nationwide Tour earnings in 2009 has begun to play better in recent weeks and has created an opportunity for his second win on the Nationwide Tour following his victory at the 2005 Gila River Classic.

McKenzie leads by one over Canadian Nationwide Tour rookie, Dustin Risdon.

New Zealand’s Bradley Iles is well placed at 9 under and five behind McKenzie, Cameron Percy is at 7 under, Andre Stolz at 6 under while Mark Hensby, Paul Gow and Steve Bowditch just crept inside the cutline at 5 under.
