Canberra golfer Nikki Campbell shares the lead at the halfway mark of the Japan Ladies Golf Tour’s ¥100 million Suntory Open in Rokko Kokusai Golf Club in Hyogo Prefecture.

Campbell leads with Chinese golfer, Zhang Na, Shinobu Morimazato, Rikako Morita and South Korean amateur Jang Ha Na after rounds of 70 and 69 have her and her fellow leaders at 5 under.

Tamie Durdin bounced back from an opening round of 75 to record the equal best round of the day, a 67, to be at 2 under and is in 15th position.

Campbell has recorded three top tens in ten starts in the 2009 season and is currently in 28th position on the JLPGA Tour money list but has created an opportunity at least for her second win on Tour.

It was at this event in 2006 where she won her only event to date in Japan although she has been a regular money winner in that time.
