Augusta State based collegiate player Mitch Krywulycz has fired consecutive rounds of 71 to be in a tied for 12th at 2-under-par following the second round of the Dogwood Invitational being played at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.

Krywulycz opened with a first round 1-under-par 71 to be just three behind leader, Si Hwan Kim. A second round of even-par by Kim now has the 2004 US Junior Champion currently in a tie for 5th, after Russell Henley fired rounds of 69-68, to move to 7-under-par and lead the tournament by a stroke over Alex Martin, who fired the championship low round to date with a 7-under-par 65.

With a five stroke difference from the leader, Krywulycz will need to shoot a low third round to close the difference on a layout that has played extremely difficult so far this week with just seventeen of the field of eight-six breaking par.

The 36-hole cut came in at low 40 and ties which saw Ray Beaufils eliminated after the Queenslander fired an opening 8-over-par, 80.
