Argentina's Angel Cabrera dazzled spectators today as he made up six shots on the demanding West Course at Wentworth. He goes into tomorrow's final round at the BMW Championship 2005 joint leader with Peter Hedblom.
"The course was tough," said Cabrera after his 66 round. "The wind is blowing hard, but I hit the ball solidly and putted well."
The Argentinean starts tomorrow's final round tied with overnight leader Peter Hedblom. The Swede dropped three shots on the front nine, but rallied to make two birdies on the back nine for aggregate 10-under.
England's David Howell and Irishman Paul McGinley (-8) lie in third, while Michael Campbell, Peter Hanson, Martin Olander and Thongchai Jaidee (all -6) share fourth.
Earlier today, World No.3 Ernie Els failed to get his title campaign on track. The South African and flight partner Thomas Björn will both be disappointed to finish 1-over. Colin Montgomerie and Luke Donald are on the same score going into tomorrow's crucial final round.
Who will claim the €666,660 winner's cheque in Wentworth? There is only one day left to find out.
