Maruyama leads again in Japan

BY Bruce Young | Japan Tour | 2009 Coca-Cola Tokai Classic | Round Two | 03 Oct 2009

Just five days after winning the Asia Pacific Panasonic Open, Daisuke Maruyama is again leading a Japan Golf Tour event. At the completion of the rain delayed second round of the Tokai Classic in Nagoya, Maruyama has a one shot lead over Yusaka Miyazato.

A large percentage of the field were required to return to the golf course early on Saturday morning to complete their rounds.

Korean born New Zealander, Danny Lee is the best of the Australasians in the field at the halfway stage, sharing 7th position with Ryo Ishikawa at five under and three behind the lead. Their battle alone over the final 36 holes would be worth the price of admission.

Steve Conran is 14th at 3 under, David Smail at 2 under is in 18th position, while Paul Sheehan and Eddie Lee just made the cut at 2 over.
