Buckle shares lead at Miccosukee

Australian Andrew Buckle leads the Miccosukee Championship in Miami Florida after a third round of 68 regained the lead he had secured with an opening round of 64.

Buckle struggled early in his second round with an opening nine of 40 but recovered with a back nine of 32 to stay in touch and today bounced back from an early bogey to record four birdies. He now shares the lead at 9 under with second round leader Justin Smith, Chad Collins and Josh Broadway.

Buckle is on the verge of a return to the PGA Tour. He is currently in 28th position on the 2009 Nationwide Tour money list and a top five this week would all but seal the deal.

The former twice World Junior Champion and Australian Amateur Champion played the PGA Tour as a rookie in 2007 and played on limited status on that Tour in 2008 in addition to several events on the Nationwide Tour.

Fellow Australian Won Joon Lee is in a share of 5th just one behind the lead, New Zealander Bradley Iles shares 8th, Gavin Coles is 10th with Cameron Percy and Michael Sim the next best Australians in 21st position.
