Veteran Suzuki wins at ABC Championship

Veteran Japanese golfer Toru Suzuki won his 8th Japan Golf Tour event when he today won the Mynavi ABC Championship near Osaka.
Suzuki won by five over Takashi Kanemoto while Azuma Yano and Hiroyuki Fujita tied for 3rd.
Japan’s superstar, Ryo Ishikawa, was well placed after three rounds but faded with a final round of 73 to finish in a share of 6th and still trails Yuta Ikeda in the race for Japan PGA Tour money list honours.
It was not a good week for the Australasians with only Eddie Lee making the cut, eventually finishing 30th.
The Japan Golf Tour will now play the Championship by Lexus in Ibaraki Prefecture although the HSBC Champions event in China is jointly sanctioned by them.
