After two weeks on the West Coast, the PGA Tour of Australasia is in Queensland this week for the Cellarbrations Queensland PGA Championship, where the event has been resurrected after a year-long break.
The City Golf Club in Toowoomba plays host to the event and a field which includes the NSW Open Champion Aaron Townsend, last week’s WAPGA Champion and the defending champion of this event Andrew Bonhomme, class Asian Tour player, Adam Blyth, Sunshine Tour Order of Merit winner, Eddie Barr, Steve Bowditch, runner up in the recent WA Open, Kim Felton, joint runners up last week in Bunbury David Diaz and Hamish Robertson and many other emerging players, destined for big things in the professional game.
The City Golf Club is part of a multi facility entertainment complex in the suburbs of the Darling Downs city. It has played host to this event in earlier years and is a regular stop for Queensland’s Sunshine Tour.
Many of those in this field are expected to play next week’s JB Were Australian Masters and will be keen to have their game close to its best for what lies ahead.
