Yasuharu Imano has defeated American Han Lee and Kenichi Kuboya to win the Mitsui Sumitomo Visa Taiheiyo tournament in Shizuoka.

Imano has won seven titles on the Japan Golf Tour but this was his first in four years although interestingly he finished runner up in the event last year to Shingo Katayama after losing in a playoff.

Lee has had a very good season in Japan this year finishing runner up a few weeks ago at the Canon Open and in just his second season in Japan he looks set for a good career there. The 32 year old was twice Canadian Amateur Champion.

Ryo Ishikawa recovered from an early bogey to finish in a tie for 4th and moved back past Yuta Ikeda to the top of the money list.

The best of the Australians was Wayne Perske who finished 8th and confirmed his status for 2010. Brendan Jones was 26th, Steve Conran 29th, Eddie Lee 51st and Rich Tate 54th.

The Japan Golf Tour now moves south to Miyazaki for the Dunlop Phoenix.
