Peter Senior has completed a great week of golf at the Final Stage of qualifying for the Champions Tour, his final round of 66 at the TPC Scottsdale securing medallist honours and earning him the right to play on the US Champions Tour in 2010.

Senior finished the four round event three shots clear of the field all four of his rounds in the 60’s.

Only five players secured the all important Full Status cards. Senior, Joe Ozaki, Steve Haskins and Ronnie Black were three of them but the lucky fifth will be determined by a playoff between Bruce Vaughan, Kirk Hanefield and Jim Roy.

Senior has played competitively right up to turning 50 in late July and in between then and now has competed in several events on the Sunshine Tour in Queensland and in events on the European Seniors Tour.

The only other Australian in the field, Wayne Grady, withdrew from the field after the third round.
