Jason Scrivener finished the best of the Australians in 17th position in the Northeast Amateur at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rhode Island, USA.

Scrivener fired rounds of 70-68-71-72, to finish 5-over-par, eleven strokes behind eventual winner Joseph Bramlett, who shot a 6-under 270 to win by two shots from US Public Links champion, Brad Benjamin.

Bramlett carded rounds of 69-68-66-67 at the par-69 Wannamoisett Country Club to claim his first US major amateur tile. Previously before winning the Northeast Amateur, Bramlett’s best result was a 7th finish at the State Fair championship in California.
