PGA announce new Board of Directors

The PGA of Australia has unveiled its new Board of Directors who will oversee the strategic direction of the organisation into the future.
The new PGA Board consists of seven directors in total- four PGA Member Directors and three Independent Directors.
Max Garske, Chief Executive Officer of the PGA, today welcomed the new Board of Directors who bring with them a wealth of experience in a variety of fields relevant to the PGA’s diverse business platform.
“The PGA conducts operations in training & education, careers services & recruitment, tournaments, mass participation events, marketing & commercial partnerships and media & public relations. In that context I am extremely impressed with the capabilities and vast experience the new PGA Board will bring to each and every one of these areas,” Garske said.
“The new Directors will ensure the PGA delivers a strong strategic framework to grow both the game of golf and our members’ businesses, and achieve our vision for the PGA to be recognised as one of Asia-Pacific’s leading sports brands.”
Garske also thanked the outgoing Board for their valuable contribution to the PGA during their term.
“Having successfully steered the PGA through an amalgamation process, the contributions of the outgoing Board were invaluable to the long-term prosperity of the PGA and for that the entire membership and staff are extremely thankful.”
The seven new Members of the Board of the PGA of Australia are:
- Philip Baird (Member Director)
- Mark Gibson (Member Director)
- Peter O’Malley (Member Director)
- Craig Parry (Member Director)
- Richard Allely (Independent Director)
- James Erskine (Independent Director)
- Richard Lazar (Independent Director)
The Chairman of the PGA Board will be elected at the inaugural Board Meeting scheduled for August.
