Like Woods and Sorenstam, Irwin dominates

Hale Irwin is to the US Seniors Tour what Annika Sorenstam and Tiger Woods are to their respective tours. They dominate and win countless regular tour events. For Irwin, this is his fourth win of the season and thirty-sixth since joining the Seniors Tour in 1995.
Get a load of these statistics. Irwin has played one hundred and eighty one events since June of 1995 wehn he joined the Seniors Tour . He has won thirty-six times, been second on thirty-three occasions and seventeen times third. In those one hundred and eighty one starts he has been inside the top ten in one hundred and forty of them.
His win here was in a playoff over Gary McCord with South African John Bland, continuing a fine run of form of late, third.
Rodger Davis, who had led at one stage in the second round, before succumbing to a triple bogey on the seventeenth during that round, rallied late to finish eleventh. That finish has him precariously placed in thirty first position on the money list and with the top thirty one retaining their cards for next year he must finish the year off strongly to avoid another trip to the Tour School. Graham Marsh and Stewart Ginn were 45th.
Final Round - Australasian Scores
T11 -3 Rodger Davis (69-72-72)
T45 6 Graham Marsh (74-75-73)
T45 6 Stewart Ginn (79-71-72)
