Nikki Campbell fifth in Japan

Akane Iijima today won her sixth Japan Golf Tour event when she defeated Ayako Uehara in a playoff for the Golf5 Ladies Golf Tournament in Gifu Prefecture.
The pair finished one shot clear of Maiko Wakabayashi and Yukari Baba
Australian Nikki Campbell’s final round of 65 was the best of the day and moved her from an overnight 23rd to a share of 5th.
It was Campbell’s 6th top ten of the 2010 season on the Japan Ladies Tour and she finds herself in 11th position on the money list. Campbell is on track to beat her previous best season which came in 2009 when she finished 10th.
The only other Australian to make the cut, Tamie Durdin, finished in 43rd position.
