Baddeley in race for US$ 1 million

Aaron Baddeley and Rickie Fowler have drawn level with previous leader Troy Meritt in the Kodak Challenge, birdies by both Baddeley and Fowler at the nominated hole at this week’s Children’s Miracle Workers Classic in Orlando allowing them to join Merrit in the race for the US$1 million first prize.

Fowler birdied the par four 17th at the Magnolia Course at the Lake Buena Vista Resort in today’s second round, while Baddeley, after all but holing his approach in round one, secured his birdie to move into the lead with Merritt before being joined today by Fowler.

Unless Merritt can birdie the hole over the final two rounds then the chances of a playoff between the three players for the massive winner take all purse is becoming increasingly likely.

All three players have made the cut with Merrit having two further opportunities to break clear with a birdie of his own over the final two rounds.

The Kodak Challenge is a contest played over one nominated hole at 30 venues during the 2010 PGA Tour with the player recording the best cumulative score over 18 of those holes declared the winner.

In the event of a tie then the playoff will be decided over the 17th hole.
