Donald the victor, Kaymer # 1

Martin Kaymer might have lost the final of the Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona today but by just making it to the Final he has become the new world number 1 golfer.
Luke Donald’s victory in the 18 hole final has seen him move to number three in the world pushing Tiger Woods to number five.
Donald’s 3&2 victory in the match-up between two of Europe’s best, was his first on the PGA Tour in more than five years and given the strength of the field moved him from 9th to 3rd in the revised world ranking.
Donald was never behind in the Final in fact he had not been behind all week.
In the Consolation Final for third and fourth Matt Kuchar defeated Bubba Watson.
