31 year old Troy Matteson leads the Puerto Rico Open by three shots leading into tomorrow’s final round, reversing a run of form in recent months which has seen him record only one top twenty in his last PGA Tour 17 starts.

Matteson, a two time PGA Tour winner, recorded the equal best round of the day at the Trump International Golf Club in Rio Grande to break clear of the joint 36 hole lead he shared with Chris Tidland.

Hunter Haas is alone in second position while 2009 champion Michael Bradley is one shot further back in third.

Aron Price leads the Australians in 26th position, Rod Pampling is 31st, with Mark Hensby and Cameron Percy 41st.
