Senior and Grady play in Alabama

BY Bruce Young | Champions Tour | 2011 Regions Traditions | Preview | 05 May 2011

Australians Peter Senior and Wayne Grady will this week tee it up at the Champions Tour’s Regions Tradition event in Birmingham in Alabama.

For Grady it will be a trip down memory lane as it was here at the Jack Nicklaus designed Shoal Creek layout in 1990 where he achieved the pinnacle of his golfing career with victory at the PGA Championship that year. It was the second of his two wins on the PGA Tour.

Grady earned US$225,000 for his win that week. This week the winner will take home US$330,000.

Senior is playing his 6th event of the season and is warming to his task with top tens in his last two tournaments. He has not finished outside the top twenty in all five to date so he is close to winning form.
