The semi finalists have been determined at the Queensland Amateur championships at Arundel Hills with Cameron Smith the hot favourite to secure the title.

The current Australian Amateur Stroke Play and Boy’s champion will meet Jake Higginbottom in the first semi final after Smith accounted for Blake McGrory, 6&5, in yesterday’s quarter final and Luke Humphries, 3&2, in the first round.

Higginbottom during his pathway to the semi finals defeated Dimitrios Papadatos, 1-up, in their quarter final and Adam Mollis, 9&8, in the first round.

The bottom half semi final will see Tim Hart against top-see and Medalist Daniel McGraw.

Hart, a finalist last year in this event where he lost to Brett Drewitt 1-up, at Pacific Harbour Golf and Country Club.

With a win this year at the Federal Amateur, Hart’s came remains strong and in making his way to these semi finals he accounted for Jonathon Holder, 2-up, and Aaron Wilkin, 2-up.

McGraw’s pathway to the semi finals was a little tougher with 1-up wins over Maverick Antcliff and Jarrod Freeman.
