Saki Suzuki has successfully defended her Queensland Amateur Championship title with a 2&1 victory over Surfers Paradise golfer Ali Orchard at the Arundel Hills Golf club on the Gold Coast today.

Suzuki, who plays out of the Lakelands Golf Club, won the Queensland Stroke-play Championship at Sanctuary Cove a week ago and confirmed her domination of major Queensland events by defending the title she won last year at Pacific Harbour when defeating Jessica Park.

The 19 year old Suzuki has lived in Australia for the past four years after moving here with her parents from Japan to attend Robina State High School which has also produced another notable champion in Amy Yang.
