Lead shared at Greenbrier - Price 9th

Zimbabwe’s Brendon de Jonge and American Webb Simpson lead the Greenbrier Classic into the weekend, both players seeking their first PGA Tour victory.
de Jonge finished third in this event last year putting together consecutive weekend rounds of 65 to finish alone in third position albeit five shots behind Stuart Appleby.
The course has undergone changes in the past twelve months but de Jonge expressed his continued liking for the layout and his comfort zone in the region.
“I felt comfortable here from the start. I love the changes. The changes obviously made the golf course a lot more difficult, but I think they’re great. It’s a comfortable place for me. A lot of Virginia Tech support, which it’s nice. Yes, it feels good out there.”
Simpson on the other hand missed the cut badly last year although he has for some time been considered a rising star of the PGA Tour and is playing beautifully in 2011 having been twice runner-up.
One shot further back is South African Trevor Immelman who seems to be regaining the form that saw him as one of the game’s leading players two or three years ago. Immelman has suffered illness and injury in recent times but after a run of missed cuts he has shown glimpses in recent starts that things are about to get much better.
Aron Price, playing with limited PGA Tour status in 2011, leads the Australians at 4 under and just three from the lead. Birdies at his final two holes today could be very important for Price as he tries to kick start was has been a slow season to date. Price played this event well last year finishing inside the top ten after weekend rounds of 65 and 65.
Nick O’Hern and Monday qualifier Andre Stolz are next best in 22nd position.
