Brittany Lincicome has held on over the closing stages of the CN Canadian Women’s Open to win her second title of 2011 and her fifth LPGA Tour overall by one shot over the defending champion Michelle Wie and the ever present Stacy Lewis.
Lincicome came from one shot of the 54 hole pace with a final round of 70 to defeat the fast finishing Lewis and the joint third round leader Wie who bogeyed a hole late in the round which cost her a chance of a playoff.
Lewis recorded her 9th top ten of the year and moved to third on the money list.
Karrie Webb was one of only two Australians to make the cut finishing 45th while Lindsey Wright was 59th.
The LPGA Tour will now have a one week break before the Walmart Arkansas Championship
