USA Walker Cup Team member Patrick Cantlay will meet Kelly Kraft in the championship match of the 2011 US Amateur Championship being contested at Erin Hills near Milwaukee.

Cantlay, a UCLA sophomore who holds the top spot in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, defeated Jordan Russell, 4&3, in the first Saturday morning semifinal.

The second, third and fourth-ranked players, Americans Jordan Spieth, Peter Uihlein and Patrick Rodgers, all were defeated in Friday’s quarterfinals. Uihlein was the defending US Amateur champion.

Kraft, a three-time Conference USA Player of the Year beat Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup Team member Jack Senior of England, 3&2.

Known for his stellar efforts in not missing a cut in four PGA Tour events this year and securing the low amateur at the US Open, Cantlay shot 60 en route to a 26th-place finish at the Travelers Championship and finished in the top 25 at the AT&T National and the RBC Canadian Open.

The final will be contested over 36 holes with the winner earning exemptions into the British Open, US Open and an invitation to The Masters.
