Kisner continues Pittsburgh love affair

If there was ever a need for proof of a golf course suiting a particular golfer then you need go no further than the display by Kevin Kisner in today’s second round of the Mylan Classic at the Southpointe Golf Club near Pittsburgh.
Kisner is playing the PGA Tour this season mainly as a result of his victory in this very event twelve months ago. Despite not recording one top twenty finish in twenty starts on the PGA Tour this year he has relied on the great memories of his first and only Nationwide Tour victory here to get things back on track.
Kisner, who did not qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs in his rookie PGA Tour season, played well enough last week during the Nationwide Tour’s News Sentinel Open when 21st but back on a golf course which holds so many good memories he was brilliant.
Two eagles over his closing nine holes including a holed shot at the par four 18th would see Kisner record a second round of 62 and take a two shot lead over England’s Gary Christian.
The leading Australasian is Josh Geary who continued some good form of late with a second round of 65 to move to 10th position heading into the weekend.
Terry Pilkadaris, playing in just his fifth Nationwide Tour event of the year, is in 12th position which he shares with Alistair Presnell amongst others.
Nick Flanagan, Steve Dartnall and Scott Gardiner are next best in 23rd position.
