Tseng looking to bounce back in Arkansas

The LPGA Tour has only two more events in the USA before it heads offshore for events such as the Solheim Cup in Ireland and a series of events in Asia.
One of those two events is this week’s Walmart NW Arkansas Championship at the Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers.
Last year Yani Tseng defeated Michelle Wie by just one shot and both players are back this year along with a field which includes all but one of the world’s top ten.
Tseng has been a little disappointing since her brilliant win at the Women’s British Open but she has won six times in 2011 and is the world number one by a clear margin so she will start as the favourite and deservedly so.
Suzann Pettersen has become one of the hottest players in the game in recent starts and even despite her missed cut at the Canadian Open she had won in Ireland and Oregon immediately beforehand.
Na Yeon Choi has been in brilliant for of late in LPGA Tour events and returns this week form a victory in her homeland at the Hanwha Finance Classic, a KLPG Tour event. She is one of the game’s most consistent performers and having finished inside the top ten in each of her last two starts here she is a great chance to break through for her first win of the LPGA tour season.
Michelle Wie should also be a contender having finished runner-up in Canada two weeks ago and runner-up in this event last year.
Danielle Kang, who has won the last two US Amateur Championships, makes her professional debut this week with much expected of her career at a professional level. Kang has already made the cut in three LPGA Tour majors so she is no stranger to competing against the world’s best but now there are dollars resting on everything she does.
The Australian line-up includes Karrie Webb, Katherine Hull, Lindsey Wright, Sarah Kemp, Sarah-Jane Smith and Alison Whitaker.
