Nine Australians and one New Zealander will take on one of the most gruelling tests in all of golf when the Final Stage of qualifying for the 2012 PGA Tour gets underway on Wednesday at the Nicklaus Tournament and TPC Stadium courses at PGA West in California.

The lowest 25 finishers and any tying for 25th position after the conclusion of all 108 holes in the Final Qualifying Stage will be eligible for 2012 PGA TOUR membership.

Those finishing outside the top 25 will be eligible for various degrees of status on the Nationwide Tour in 2012.

Stephen Allan, Steve Bowditch, Nathan Green, Craig Hocknull, Matt Jones, Bronson La Cassie, Jarrod Lyle, James Nitties, Andre Stolz and Tim Wilkinson all get their chance to either play their way onto the PGA Tour for the first time or return there after having lost previous status.
