Holman leads by four at Royal Melbourne

Victorian golfer Nathan Holman has opened up a four shot lead over Queenslander Daniel Nisbet and Tasmanian Ryan McCarthy at the end of round two of the 2012 Australian Master of the Amateurs at Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
A shot further back are the 2011 US Amateur Champion Kelly Kraft and Frenchman Teremona Beaucousin.
In blustery conditions, the West Course at Royal Melbourne proved to be a handful for most of the field with no player able to break 70 and McCarthy’s round of 71 the best of the day.
Holman, from the Woodlands Golf Club, missed the cut at last week’s Victorian Open but after an opening round of 67 yesterday he took control today with a round of 72 to move past first round leader, 16 year old D.J Loypur, who succumbed to the conditions today with a round of 80.
