Nationwide Tour in Georgia

The 2012 Nationwide heads back to work this week when it plays the South Georgia Classic Presented by First State Bank and Trust at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta in Georgia.

The tournament is the 7th of the season on this year’s schedule and with six different winners to date the money list is evenly split although Andres Gonzales’ win and runner-up have given him the edge at the top of the pile.

Last year Ted Potter Jnr defeated Mathew Goggin, the event having proved good to Australians in its six year history with Ewan Porter the winner in 2010 and Matt Jones a runner-up in 2007 in addition to Goggin’s near miss last year.

Twelve Australasians have a start this week plus another two, Won Joon Lee and Matthew Giles, waiting in the wings for an opportunity to tee it up.

The leading Australians on the money list to date are Cameron Percy (14th) and Alistair Presnell (15th) and both are in the field and chasing an improvement on those positions this week.
