BY Bruce Young | 31 May 2012

Queensland rookie professional Chris Wood has won the Moranbah Pro-Am event, one of those included in the Runge Series of events through the Central Highlands of Queensland.

Wood added a second round of 68 in the 36 hole event to finish one shot ahead of Paul Donahoo and two ahead of Ben Bloomfield, Aaron Pike and Gavin Flint.

“I know my game has been coming together now for a couple of months but I just have not been able to put it together when it matters in a tournament," said Wood. "

“It’s nice to win again and especially when there are so many talented professionals playing. I am now looking forward to the bigger events that are coming up on the Queensland Sunshine Tour over the next few months”.

With just the two day Glenden Pro Am to play Aaron Pike continues to lead the Runge Series by three shots over Matthew Ballard.
