14 year old makes horror start

14 year old Chinese golfer, Andy Zhang, the youngest player to have played the US Open, has made a horror start to an otherwise dream week when he triple bogeyed his very first hole on Thursday morning and followed up with a double bogey at the second.

Zhang, who has been in the US for several years at the David Leadbetter Academy, has understandably been the subject of much media scrutiny over the lead-in to the event as the golfing world marvels at him just earning a place in the tournament from the 9000 original entries.

Clearly he is an amazing talent and it will be interesting to see as to how much he can re-group over his next 34 holes before Friday’s cut.
