Presnell takes lead in Indiana

Just two weeks after his impressive debut performance at the US Open, Victorian golfer Alistair Presnell has the halfway lead at the United Leasing Championship at Victoria National Golf Club in Indiana.

Presnell played last week in Wichita and missed the cut, perhaps a reaction to the effort he put in at The Olympic Club where he finished a very meritorious 29th after book ending his tournament with rounds of 70.

This week, on the demanding layout in Newburgh however, Presnell continued on where he left off in San Francisco.

He is well placed to improve his current 28th position on the Web.Com (read Nationwide Tour) money list.

Presnell leads by one over another man who has played the Olympic Club well previously in Lee Janzen and Swede David Lingmerth. Janzen of course won the 1998 US Open at Olympic.

Cameron Percy and Steve Allan are five shots from Presnell’s lead in 22nd position.
