Japan Tour back in action in Hokkaido

The Japan Tour is back to business this week for the Nagashima Shigeo Sega Sammy Cup at the North Country Club in Sapporo in Hokkaido.

The Japan Tour had a break last week after the Gateway to the Open Mizuno Open but plays this one off tournament before taking another two week break during which the Open Championship is played.

Kim Kyung Tae is the defending champion this week his four shot victory over Ryo Ishikawa twelve months ago his 4th on the Japan Golf Tour.

Australasians in the field are Steve Conran, Neven Basic, Paul Sheehan, Brad Kennedy, Kurt Barnes, and New Zealander Richard Lee.

Australia’s leading player in Japan this season, Brendan Jones, is home in Canberra preparing for his start at the Open Championship in two week’s time.
