Thailand’s Prom Meesawat’s second round of 63 at the Thailand Open at the Suwan Golf and Country Club in Bangkok has provided the 28 year old former World Junior Champion with a one shot lead over fellow Thai Wisut Artjanawat with another shot back to Australian David McKenzie, English invitee Chris Wood and Taiwan’s Chan Shih Chang

Meesawat who has to date played mainly on the Asian Tour in 2012 played early on day two and made a tremendous start to his round, reaching the turn in 30 before back nine of 33 gave him his 9 under par round.

New South Welshman Rohan Blizard is the second highest placed Australasian at 12 under and three from Messawat’s lead.

New Zealander Mark Brown is in 12th position at 9 under par following his round of 65.
