Stage Two LPGA Tour qualifying underway

The LPGA Tour’s Stage Two qualifying is underway over the Bobcat and Panther courses in Venice in Florida where several Australasians are trying to earn the right to compete at the Final Stage of LPGA Qualifying in early December.

Round one was completed earlier today and West Australian Jessica Speechley shares 4th position after her opening round of 68.

New Zealand’s Cathryn Bristow is in a share of 10th position after her round of 69, Sydney’s Justine Lee, Adelaide’s Stephanie Na and Melbourne’s Inhong Lim are next after their rounds of 72, Victorian Brenna Elliott had 73 as did Sydney’s Frances Bondad and Melbourne’s Jody Fleming 76.

The leading 70 players at the completion of 72 holes will advance to the Final Stage where they will compete over 90 holes for the chance to play on the 2013 LPGA Tour.
