After five successive runner-up finishes Korea’s Inbee Park has broken through for yet another victory in 2012 by winning the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia event at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club in Malaysia.

Despite bogeys at her final two holes today Park, the Evian Masters champion in July, had done enough with six birdies in her opening 14 holes to provide the cushion she needed to catch and pass third round leader and defending champion, Na Yeon Choi.

Choi cost herself the chance to successfully defend when she double bogeyed the 17th hole and finished two shots behind Park with Australia’s Karrie Webb producing her second best finish of 2012 when she finished alone in third position.

Lindsey Wright, the winner of the New Zealand Open earlier this year. recorded her best LPGA Tour finish of the year when she produced a final round of 67 to share 6th position.

Katherine Hull was 46th.
