Park and Pettersen share Taiwan lead

Inbee Park’s amazing run continues, the Korean sharing the lead at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship with last week’s winner in Korea Suzann Pettersen.
In her last nine starts worldwide, Park has been twice a winner and five times runner-up and once 3rd and now she is in yet another position to win on the LPGA Tour, this time in Taipei.
Today it was Pettersen who had the hot score, a second round of 65, which included a back nine of 31, allowing her toi catch the first round leader Park and set up a tantalising prospect for the weekend with two very in form players going head to head.
Catriona Matthew, who Pettersen defeated in a playoff to win last week’s Hana Bank Championship near Seoul, is tied in third position with Yani Tseng and just two shots from the lead.
Tseng appears to be finding form at the right time especially given that this event in her homeland is so important to her. Tseng finished 3rd in Korea last week and is on track to defend the title she won here last year.
Lindsey Wright heads the Australians in 24th position while Katherine Hull and Sarah Jane Smith are 31st.
