Stage two qualifying at the USPGA Tour School was completed this morning and a further six Australasians have been added to the three who made it through from various venues last week.

Steve Allan, Michael Long, Nick Flanagan, Grant Waite, Steve Alker, Andrew Getson and Scott Hend will join Steve Collins, Tim Wilkinson and Andrew Buckle as graduates from the second stage.

Today Allan recorded a final round 65 to seal his 6th place at Beaumont in California while Michael Long (6th), Nick Flanagan and Andrew Getson (14th) all recorded 67’s today at the same venue. Little known Getson hails from the Commonwealth Golf Club in Melbourne and currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona. Australasians to miss out in Beaumont were Aron Price, Ryan Haller, Terry Pilkadaris and Brad Heaven.

At the Bayonet course on the Monterey Peninsula in California, New Zealander, Steve Alker, played brilliantly on the tough layout to head the qualifiers and Scott Hend also advanced after finishing 13th. At that venue however Matthew Jones, Martin Doyle, Anthony Painter and Richard Swift are on their way back to Australia after missing out.

In Florida Grant Waite, looking to rekindle his PGA Tour career, finished 12th and is on his way to the final stage starting on November 30th.
