Oh takes control at Lake Macquarie

As expected the pre tournament favourite, Su Hyun Oh, has taken control of the Lake Macquarie Women’s Amateur Championship at the Belmont Golf Club south of Newcastle in NSW.
Oh, from the Metropolitan Golf Club in Melbourne, today added a second round of 70 to her opening 71 and at 5 under she leads by three over Queensland’s Ali Orchard.
Aliza Huff from the Pennant Hills Golf Club but a former member of Belmont is in 3rd position.
Conditions today were difficult with strong winds buffeting the seaside layout. Oh’s round of 71 was three shots better then the next best on the day, recorded by Ali Orchard.
