Watt leads by four at Royal Melbourne

Brady Watt is on track for a wire to wire victory at the Master of the Amateurs being played at Royal Melbourne’s West Course layout.

Watt today added a third round of 68 in the 72 hole event to extend his two shot 36 hole lead to four over French Polynesia’s Teremoana Beaucousin and Victorian Geoff Drakeford.

Queenslander Viraat Badhwar produced one of four rounds of 68 today to move into 4th position on his own.

Watt has been in devastating form in recent months with victories at the Keppera Bowl and Dunes Medal events and a runner-up finish at the West Australian Open. He is the only player to have recorded all three rounds in the 60’s this week and he appears on track to add yet another significant title to his rapidly growing trophy list tomorrow.

Beaucousin won the Victorian Junior Amateur Championship twelve months ago and has recently signed to play for Kennesaw State University in Georgia.

The 2013 Australian Master of the Amateurs Green Jacket Champion will receive an exemption into the 2013 Amateur Championship UK, Porter Cup USA, The Players Amateur USA, The Dogwood Invitational USA, and the Canadian Mens Amateur Championship CAN.
