Keating wins ALPG season opener

Victorian Stacey Keating has taken up where she left off in 2012 with a two shot victory over West Australian Whitney Hillier at the 36 hole Vintage event at the Vintage Golf Club in the Hunter Valley of NSW, the opening event of the 2013 ALPG season.
There was a further shot back to Emma de Groot, Sarah Kemp and Stephanie Na whose final round of 66 was the best of the event.
Keating a two time winner on the Ladies European Tour in 2012, led after an opening round of 69 on the Greg Norman designed layout and had enough in reserve to hold off the fast finishes by rookie Hillier (67) and Na (66).
The ALPG will play their next event at the Antill Park Country Golf Club on Thursday.
