With just one round to play the 2013 Asian Tour School in Hua Hin in Thailand, as many as 14 Australasians are still in with a chance to secure one of the 40 cards to play in Asia this year.
Leading the way are Tim Stewart and Adam Groom, both former Asian Tour players looking to regain their status. The pair is at 7 under and in a share of 7th although six shots from the tearaway leader, American Richard Lee
Former PGA Tour player and South Australian David Lutterus is in 11th position one shot further back while Jake Higginbottom, Matt Jager, Darren Tan and Matt Stieger.
Higginbottom, the current New Zealand Open Champion, recorded a round of 66 to keep his hopes alive after starting the day in 94th position.
Gold Coast amateur Blake McGrory, Lismore’s Sam Brazel and Tasmanian Ryan McCarthy are still in with a chance in 48th place while New Zealanders Ben Campbell and Eddie Lee, US based New South Welshman Matthew Zions, and Anthony Choat are in 75th position but will perhaps need a round of 4 under tomorrow if they are to have a chance.
