The Australian Ten Nations Cup team has opened up a three shot lead with one round to play at the event being held at the Kingswood Golf Estate in George in South Africa.
The Australians have recovered from a slow start to the event having been in 8th position after their opening rounds on Wednesday to now lead by three over New Zealand and by four over Argentina.
West Australian Brady Watt’s round of 62 was the feature of day two but today it was the 14 year Victorian old Ryan Ruffles who starred with a round of 65 to provide the catalyst for the lead.
“It was a great round, and it feels great to also contribute, especially after Brady’s course record put us back into the tournament yesterday,” Ruffles tolf the SAGA website. “Now we just need to keep the momentum going and keep our noses in front tomorrow.”
Watt though leads the individual by four shots after he added a round of 69 while the other counting score for the Australians was the 70 by Victorian Geoff Drakeford.
