Bae and Jacobson lead at Riviera

Korean Sang Moon Bae and Sweden’s Fredrik Jacobson lead the way through 36 holes of the Northern Trust Open at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, the pair one ahead of American’s John Merrick and John Rollins.

Luke Donald, in his very first tournament of the season is one shot further back and alone in 5th position.

27 year old Bae, in his second season on the PGA Tour after several successful years in Korea and Japan, had nine birdies in his round of 65 while Jacobson who has one win to his credit on the PGA Tour also recorded a round of 65.

Greg Chalmers and Adam Scott lead the Australians, Scott making a very good start to his first tournament of the year. Both are at 4 under and in a share of 13th position.
