BY Bruce Young | Web.com Tour | 2013 Panama Claro Open | Preview | 20 Feb 2013

The 2013 Web.Com Tour gets underway this week with the Panama Claro Open the first event of a 25 event on that Tour’s schedule to be played at the Panama Golf Club in Panama City.

With the leading twenty five players on the Web.com Tour through 21 of those events going into the final four event playoff series to determine the ranking of those graduating to the PGA Tour in 2014, the goal is the same, namely to finish inside that group and then have those latter events determine a qualifying order for 2014.

The playoff series will include the leading 75 players on the Web.Com Tour and the players finishing between 126th and 200th on the PGA Tour. They will compete for a further 25 PGA Tour cards available in 2014, although the leading 25 from the 2013 Web.Com Tour season are playing only for ranking having already been assured of PGA Tour cards.

There is a large group of Australasians in the field including Ashley Hall, Danny Lee, Ewan Porter, Aaron Price, Gavin Coles, Adam Crawford, Nick Flanagan, Matthew Goggin, Nathan Green, Peter Lonard and James Nitties with Bronson La Cassie awaiting a start from the reserve bench.
