Class prevailed at the World Ladies Championship on Hainan Island where the leading three players at the completion of the tournament were the only players in the field inside the top ten in the Rolex World Ranking.

World number 8, Suzanne Pettersen, defeated number 4, Inbee Park, by one shot with world number 5 and local, Shanshan Feng, in third position but six shots adrift of Park.

Queensland’s Bree Arthur finished as the leading Australian when she produced consecutive rounds of 69 at the weekend to finish 12th. Kristie Smith and Karen Lunn tied for 16th.

The Ladies European Tour plays their next event at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco on March 28th.
