With just one round to play at the Women's World Amateur Team Championship, Thailand, who have led from the opening bell, still retains the lead.
Despite some shaky moments at various stages of today's round, Aree and Naree Song Wongluekiet have guided their team to a one shot lead over Spain with Australia still very much within striking distance, two shots further back in third place and tied with Germany at five under. The US team is in 5th place at three under and is still very much in the hunt for what would be their fourteenth win in the event.
Lindsey Wright and the improving Vicky Uwland both featured today for Australia with their respective scores of 70 and 71 counting towards the team score. Katherine Hull overcame a slow start to finish with a 1 under 72 but that will not be included in today's team score.
Lindsey Wright and Katherine Hull are both tied in fifth place in the individual at 2 under just two behind Naree Song Wongluekiet.
The New Zealanders have again failed to gain ground remaining in their first round position of fifteenth. Their best is 44 year old Brenda Ormsby whose 72 today was the best round of the event to date by a New Zealander.
Defending champions France are in 17th place.
