LPGA Tour returns in Canada

The LPGA Tour plays its first event following the US Women’s Open when the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic is this week played for the second occasion when over fairways of the Grey Silo Golf Course in Waterloo in Ontario in Canada.

Brittany Lang won her first LPGA Tour event when she survived a four way playoff with Chella Choi, Inbee Park and Hee Kyung Seo.

The 72 hole event is blessed with a field which includes nine of the leading ten world ranked players, the only one missing being Jiyai Shin.

It is hard to go past Inbee Park winning again given her good finish in the event last year and her simply stunning form since which has included eight victories and nine runner-up finishes worldwide.

Karrie Webb, Katherine Hull-Kirk, Lindsey Wright, Sarah-Jane Smith, Julia Boland, Frances Bondad, Breanna Elliott and Sarah Kemp, perhaps the strongest field of Australians numerically in an LPGA Tour event for some time.
