Automatic Presidents Cup players set

The automatic qualifiers for the International Presidents Cup side which meets the USA on October 3rd at Muirfield Village in Dublin in Ohio have been confirmed following the completion of the Deutsche Bank Championship.
The leading ten players from the world ranking who are neither European or USA citizens have earned their way onto the team.
Those players are Adam Scott, Jason Day, Charl Schwartzel, Ernie Els, Louis Oosthuizen, Hideki Matsuyama, Branden Grace, Graham DeLaet, Richard Sterne and Angel Cabrera.
It is now up to Nick Price to try and decipher the relative merits of those stacked up behind these players in order to complete the twelve man team. The next in order of world ranking are Thongchai Jaidee, Marc Leishman, Tim Clark and Brendon De Jonge.
It will be a difficult call between these players if those are all that Price is now considering. Jaidee, Leishman and Clark all have similar recent form while De Jonge’s good finish in Boston (9th) and some solid albeit unspectacular recent form brings him into consideration.
The two additional players are expected to be announced on Wednesday (US time).
