Strange contends in delayed Japan Open
BY Bruce Young | Japan Tour | 2013 Japan Open | Day Four | 20 Oct 2013
Play on day three of the Japan Open has been abandoned but because of the significance of the event the final round will be played tomorrow (Monday) Japan time.
Koumei Oda, one of the leading players in Japan this season, has the lead by three over Masanori Kobayshi with a further shot back to Australian Scott Strange.
Strange is playing in only his 6th Japan Tour event this season, making the most of the co sanctioning between OneAsia and Japan Tours in early season events to build up enough money to be given a start in this event.
He has not played many other events worldwide this year but did finish 4th in China last week suggesting he was not far below his best.
He has a great chance tomorrow although the leader is a six time winner in Japan and will be hard to beat.
Brad Kennedy is in 19th position and nine shots from the lead.
