Piloted in South Australia and with plans to expand the concept nationally in 2014, Playgolf WEEK promotes the sport further into the community through a range of great activities designed to bring the game to new players of all ages.
Following a successful launch and MYGolf Junior Golf clinics earlier in the week, the next activities include a women’s ‘Sip and Swing’ evening tonight at the Audi Solitaire Showroom in Hawthorn, SA hosted by Kerri-Anne Kennerley, as well as an Urban Golf special event in Adelaide’s CBD on Friday.

CEO of Golf Australia, Stephen Pitt, said Playgolf WEEK was a fantastic vehicle for individuals to discover golf as an accessible, colourful and fun past time.
“The vision for Playgolf WEEK is to encourage more people to play golf more often and educate Australians on the benefits of playing golf as a good way to stay active and social throughout life.
“Playgolf WEEK 2013 will be held as a pilot campaign in South Australia with the potential for a wider campaign next year. We are pleased to work with Golf South Australia in bringing this initiative to life in 2013 and look forward to growing the initiative in the future”, said Mr Pitt.
CEO of Golf South Australia, Chris Luz-Raymond, is delighted South Australia is hosting the first Playgolf WEEK and hopes the initiative will encourage all South Australians to play golf in some form this week.
